RDS: Dublin Society Periodical Publications

In 1739 the Dublin Society began publishing their "Weekly Observations" on topics associated with agriculture, manufacturing and arts. 1799 saw the publication of the first volume of "The Transactions of the Dublin Society". This journal reprinted papers read at the Society's meetings and lectures and commissioned articles from leading scientists of the period. The Transactions were published until 1810 and were eventually superceded by the Journal of the Royal Dublin Society. The RDS continued to publish journals until the mid 1980s.
